In Melbourne where I live, you can enjoy all sort of delicious icy desserts, but you can’t find this. I loved this dessert when I was a child and I still love it. It is so easy to make if you have icy pole moulds. If you don’t have the moulds, use whatever small containers. I used ZOKU Quick Pop Maker, a gift from my sister in law, but each mould has a capacity of only 50ml. Please alter the amount of ingredients to suit your mould’s capacity.

Makes

2 Icy Poles

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Sweet ‘Azuki’ Red Bean Paste *I used canned red bean paste.
1/4 cup Milk
1 tablespoon Condensed Milk

Method
  1. Place Milk and Condensed Milk in a cup or container with a lip, that will help to pour the mixture into the moulds. Stir to combine.
  2. Add ‘Azuki’ paste and mix well. Pour the mixture into the moulds evenly, and freeze until frozen.
  3. *Note: Depending on the sweetness of the ‘Azuki’ paste that you use, you can add more/less Milk, Condensed Milk and ‘Azuki’ paste.
