Steam-frying using a frying pan is the easiest method to cook Broccoli. Cheesy Sauce is really nice, but this super easy Creamy Sesame Sauce is also good. One large head of Broccoli would be eaten very quickly with this sauce.

Makes

2 to 4 Servings

Ingredients

1 large head (*about 300g) Broccoli *cut into small florets, thick stem sliced
1 tablespoon Oil of your choice
2 pinches Salt
2 to 3 tablespoons Water

Creamy Sesame Sauce
2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds *ground
3 tablespoons Japanese Mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon Sugar

Method
  1. Drizzle Oil over a frying pan and arrange Broccoli pieces. Sprinkle with Water and Salt. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for a few minutes.
  2. While Broccoli is cooking, make Creamy Sesame Sauce. Grind Toasted Sesame Seeds, and mix with other ingredients.
  3. When the water in the pan is evaporated, remove the lid and stir-fry until slightly browned. Transfer to a serving plate, pour the sauce, and enjoy. *Note: You can combine Broccoli and the sauce before serve.
