Don’t buy bottled Seafood Cocktail Sauce. It’s easy to make. If you use sweet mayonnaise, alter the amount of Ketchup. Finely chopped Pickled Gherkin is a nice addition. This sauce is good for salad, too.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Japanese Mayonnaise *OR Mayonnaise of your choice
2-3 tablespoons Tomato Ketchup
2 tablespoons finely chopped Red Onion
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice OR Red Wine Vinegar
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce (Lea & Perrins) *optional
1 small clove Garlic *optional
1 small Pickled Gherkin *optional, finely chopped

Method
  1. Combine all ingredients well. If you like it sweeter, add extra Ketchup.
