Konnyaku is a jelly-like food made from a type of potato called ‘Konnyaku Potato’ and noodle type of Konnyaku is called Shirataki or Itokonnyaku. They are extreamly low in calories.

Shirataki or Itokonnyaku 2 packs
Atsuage (Deep Fried Tofu) 2 pieces (200g)
Ginger 1 small piece *sliced into thin strips
Mirin 2 tablespoons
Sugar 1 tablespoon
Soy Sauce 3 tablespoons
Dashi 1/2 cup


1. Rinse Shirataki and cut into 5cm, Cut Atsuage (Fried Tofu) into bite size pieces.
2. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook until the sauce is almost gone.
