This salad is seasoned with just Salt, Garlic and Sesame Oil. Yet it is so delicious because of the flavour and the texture of Soybeans. This type of vegetable salad, often seasoned with Sesame Oil, is called ‘Namul’ and it’s a Korean dish. Soybean Sprouts are available from most Asian grocery stores. This dish is my new craze at the moment.


4 to 6 Servings


500 to 600g Soybean Sprouts
1 clove Garlic *grated
1 & 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds

  1. Wash Soybean Sprouts and cook in plenty of boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. Drain well.
  2. Combine grated Garlic, Salt and Sesame Oil in a bowl, add drained Soybean Sprouts, and mix well.
