Fried_Fish_Ponzu

This dish is a lot easier to cook than it looks. A great dish even for a busy family’s dinner. Any white-meat fish is suitable for this recipe. You can add Tomato and Tabasco to the sauce for more refreshing flavour.

Ingredients

Large Fish Fillets 2
Salt & Pepper
Potato Starch Flour
Oil for frying

Spicy Sauce Ingredients

Spring Onion 2 to 3 *finely chopped
Garlic 1 clove *finely chopped
Ginger 1 small piece *grated
Chili 1/2 to 1 *finely chopped
Ponzu 3 to 4 tablespoons *OR Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons & Rice Vinegar 2 tablespoons
Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon
Sugar 1/2 teaspoon *optional

Method
  1. Chop up Spring Onions, Garlic and Chilli finely, combine with grated Ginger and Ponzu and Sesame Oil. If you want sweetness, add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
  2. Cut Fish into bite size and salt and pepper. Coat with Potato Starch Flour and deep fry in 180C (quite hot) oil until golden and crispy.
  3. Place the fish on a plate and cover with the sauce. Serve hot and crispy.
