Italian Pasta such as Spaghetti are very suitable for Asian flavours. Mix Spaghetti with stir-fried Beef & Vegetables seasoned with Yakiniku (Japanese style BBQ) Sauce. It’s a simple and easy to prepare dish, and absolutely yummy!

Ingredients

2 servings Spaghetti
150 to 200g thinly sliced Beef
1/2 Onion
2 Cabbage Leaves
1/2 Carrot
1/4 to 1/2 Capsicum
1 tablespoon Oil
3 to 4 tablespoons Yakiniku Sauce *OR use the sauce below

Yakiniku Sauce
1/2 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds *ground
1 teaspoon grated Garlic
1 teaspoon grated Ginger
3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Mirin
1 teaspoon Sugar
Toban Djan (Chilli Bean Sauce) OR Chilli Flakes as required

Method
  1. Cook Spaghetti in a large saucepan of salted boiling water as instructed.
  2. Prepare ‘Yakiniku Sauce’ and cut all vegetables into thin strips.
  3. Oil a heated frying pan and cook Beef slices. When Beef changed colour, add vegetables and stir-fry until cooked. Add Yakiniku Sauce, and mix well.
  4. Add cooked Spaghetti and mix well. Drizzle with extra Yakiniku Sauce when serve, only if required.
