I had a small Banana that had turned brown. It was a perfect Banana to make a Banana Cake, but 1 small one was not enough. Once I thought about Banana Cake, I couldn’t stop the craving for Banana Cake. The solutions is Mug Cake. Absolutely quick and easy. It took me less than 5 minutes to make it. The Banana was very sweet, so I added just 1 tablespoon Sugar. You might wish to add a little bit more.


Makes

1 Serving *I used 380ml mug

Ingredients

1 tablespoon (15g) Butter *1 tablespoon is 15ml
1 to 2 tablespoons Sugar
1 pinch Salt
1 small Ripe Banana *about 100g
1 Egg
4 tablespoons Self-Raising Flour

Method
  1. Place Butter, Sugar and Salt in a mug, microwave for 30 seconds OR until Butter melts, and mix well.
  2. Slice Banana, save some slices for topping, add the sliced Banana to the mug, and mash with a fork smoothly OR coarsely. Add Egg and mix well, then add Self-Raising Flour, and mix well. Arrange the saved Banana slices on top. *Note: The saved slices can be arranged after the cake is cooked.

  3. Microwave for 60 to 90 seconds OR until cooked. I used 1000W microwave and cooked for 90 seconds today. Enjoy the Mug Cake with Sour Cream, Greek Yoghurt, Ice Cream, etc. Today I enjoyed it with slightly sweetened Greek Yoghurt.
