I have been trying to use up what I have in my freezer, so that I could defrost it. One of them was a sheet of Butter Puff Pastry, that had become quite dry and the edges were cracked. I spread the mixture of Brown Sugar and Cocoa Powder over the sheet, rolled it up, and baked. The biscuits turned heart shaped.

Makes

22 Pieces

1 sheet Butter Puff Pastry *thawed
3 tablespoons Brown Sugar OR White Sugar
1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder

Method
  1. Preheat the oven to 180℃. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix Sugar and Cocoa Powder in s small bowl.
  3. Place thawed Butter Puff Pastry sheet on a flat surface. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the Sugar mixture evenly, and gently press down the Sugar mixture to the dough.
  4. Fold each half in three towards the centre line, leaving a little gap between.
  5. Fold in half and coat with the remaining Sugar mixture.
  6. Cut into 1cm thick pieces and place on the prepared tray. If you want to make heart shaped biscuits, pinch the bottom part and make it pointy.
