This is quick and easy Matcha flavoured Whipped Cream, that can be used for cake decoration, Japanese sweets such as parfait, OR whatever you wish to use. Some people mix Matcha Powder with water before mix it to Cream, but you really don’t need to do it. You don’t need to sift it through a strainer. Just blend it with Sugar first.


Ingredients

2 to 3 teaspoons Matcha Powder *3 teaspoons is fairly strong
2 tablespoons Caster Sugar *alter the amount
1 cup Thickened Cream
Additional Flavour *e.g. Rum, Vanilla, etc.

Method
  1. Place Matcha Powder and Caster Sugar in a mixing bowl, and use a whisk to blend well.
  2. Add some Cream and mix well until smooth. Then add the remaining Cream. Taste it, and add extra Sugar if required. *Note: If you want to add extra Matcha Powder at this point, you must sift it through a fine strainer.
  3. Add an additional flavour if you want to do so, but add only a small amount, then whisk until desired firmness is achieved.
