This ‘Basic Muffin’ recipe is easy to remember and it is absolutely versatile. I understand that Muffin is basically a quick bread. The batter shouldn’t be too sweet. You can add Chocolate, Fruit and Nuts to create a variety of Muffins based on this plain batter recipe.
2 cups Self-Raising Flour
1/2 cup Caster Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 Egg *whisked
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil *e.g.Canola Oil
1 cup Milk
- Preheat oven to 180℃. Line a 12-hole muffin pan with cases.
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Spoon the mixture into each case. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
