This ‘Matcha Granita’ is absolutely easy to make, and I believe all Matcha lovers would enjoy it. You can eat it like shaved ice, but I recommend to enjoy it with Vanilla Ice Cream. It is truely a lovely treat on a hot summer day, though I enjoyed it on a cold winter day here in Melbourne.

Ingredients

1/2 tablespoon (1 & 1/2 teaspoons) Matcha Powder
2 tablespoons Caster Sugar
1/2 cup Warm Water

Method
  1. Place Matcha Powder and Caster Sugar in a bowl, add Warm Water, mix well, and pour into a container. Set aside to cool completely, then place in freezer until icy. *Note: Before it freezes, stir once as Matcha Powder tends to settle at the bottom.
  2. Use a fork to break up into crystals and enjoy. I recommend you to enjoy it with Vanilla Ice Cream.
