I believe this is the easiest and quickest dish of Lamb to cook, if you have already thinly sliced Lamb. Absolutely yummy to enjoy with chilled Beer, but of course you can enjoy with freshly cooked Rice. Serve with plenty of Coriander leaves and fresh Onion.
Makes
3 to 4 Servings
Ingredients
300g thinly sliced Lamb *cut into large bite-size pieces
1/2 Onion *thinly sliced, save some for topping
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Chilli Flakes *OR fresh Chilli as required
1 teaspoon Oil
1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin Seeds
1 teaspoon Sugar
3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) Fish Sauce *plus extra
Coriander Leaves
Method
- Heat Oil in a frying pan over medium high heat, cook Onion, Garlic and Chilli Flakes. When Onion is softened, add Lamb, and stir.
- Lamb will be cooked very quickly. Add Ground Cumin, Sugar and Fish Sauce, and stir. Taste it, and add extra Fish Sauce if required.
- Transfer to a serving plate, add plenty of Coriander Leaves and the saved thinly sliced Onion, and enjoy. It is great with chilled Beer, OR enjoy with freshly cooked Rice.
