
Every time I make ‘Turamisu’, I end up having some leftover Savoiardi (Sponge Finger Biscuits). If you have a microwave, this absolutely delicious pudding can be made in less than 5 minutes using the leftover Savoiardi. I would stock Savoiardi in my pantry to be able to make this quick and comforting dessert.
Makes
1 Serving *Use 250ml capacity OR larger ramekin OR mug
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Butter
1 teaspoon Sugar
A few drops Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
1/2 cup Milk
3 to 4 Savoiardi
Method
- Place Butter and Sugar in a ramekin OR mug, microwave for 10-20 seconds OR until Butter melts, and mix well. Add Vanilla and Egg, mix well, then add Milk, and mix well until smooth.
- Break Savoiardi and push them into the mixture. Savoiardi instantly sucks up the mixture and softens.
- Microwave for 1 to 1 & 1/2 minutes OR until cooked. I cooked for 1 & 1/2 minutes using my 1000W microwave. Enjoy with Cream, Ice Cream, Sour Cream, Jam, etc.
