Every time I make ‘Turamisu’, I end up having some leftover Savoiardi (Sponge Finger Biscuits). If you have a microwave, this absolutely delicious pudding can be made in less than 5 minutes using the leftover Savoiardi. I would stock Savoiardi in my pantry to be able to make this quick and comforting dessert.


Makes

1 Serving *Use 250ml capacity OR larger ramekin OR mug

Ingredients

1 teaspoon Butter
1 teaspoon Sugar
A few drops Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
1/2 cup Milk
3 to 4 Savoiardi

Method
  1. Place Butter and Sugar in a ramekin OR mug, microwave for 10-20 seconds OR until Butter melts, and mix well. Add Vanilla and Egg, mix well, then add Milk, and mix well until smooth.
  2. Break Savoiardi and push them into the mixture. Savoiardi instantly sucks up the mixture and softens.
  3. Microwave for 1 to 1 & 1/2 minutes OR until cooked. I cooked for 1 & 1/2 minutes using my 1000W microwave. Enjoy with Cream, Ice Cream, Sour Cream, Jam, etc.
