‘Lassi’ is a smoothie-like drink. I make it with Milk, Unsweetened Yoghurt and Ice Cubes. Using my Bamix, it is quick and easy to make. I often add Fruit such as Blueberries OR Mango. Today I added Banana and Dates. If you blender is strong enough to crush Ice Cubes, it certainly crush pitted Dates. DO NOT add too much sweetener as both Banana and Dates are sweet.

Ingredients

1/4 cup Milk
1/4 cup Unsweetened Yoghurt *I used Greek Yoghurt
1 small Ripe Banana *Today it weighed 70g
2 pitted Dates *sliced
2 to 3 Ice Cubes
Sugar OR Maple Syrup as required *I added 1 teaspoon Sugar
Ground Cinnamon as required

Method
  1. Make sure your blender OR hand blender is strong enough to crush Ice Cubes.
  2. Place all ingredients in a suitable (strong enough) glass or blender jug, and blend until Ice Cubes are finely crushed. Sprinkle with some extra Cinnamon on top and enjoy.
