This is a variation of my ‘Basic Custard’. Because Lemon Juice is added to it, more Sugar and Flour are necessary. I tend to add Butter to this Custard because I believe Butter improve the lemon flavour, but Butter is optional. It can be used for a variety of desserts.

Ingredients

1 cup (250ml) Milk
3 Egg Yolks
5 to 6 tablespoons Sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons Flour *use 3 tablespoons for firmer custard
1 tablespoon (15g) Butter *optional
