Japanese Curry Roux Blocks are available from supermarket stores these days. Using those curry blocks, you can cook a variety of curry dishes very easily. When I am busy OR too tired and can’t think of any idea for dinner, curry is always a good option as it is easy to prepare and everyone loves it.
Makes
4 Servings
Ingredients
1 tablespoon Oil
400 to 500g Beef, or Pork or Chicken
1 to 2 Onions
1 to 2 Potatoes
1 Carrots
550ml Water *OR follow the instruction on the Curry Roux box
90 to 100g Curry Roux
4 Servings Freshly Cooked Rice
Method
- Cut the vegetables and meat. Oil a heated large saucepan or pot, cook meat, then add the vegetables and mix together.
*Note: I like to add a bit of grated Garlic & Ginger when I first stir fry the meat as it adds a nice flavour. - Add Water and cook on medium heat until vegetables are tender.
- Add Curry Roux blocks and simmer on a low heat. Add extra Water if too thick. The longer you simmer, the richer the flavour.
- Serve on a plate with Freshly Cooked Rice.
