Do you know what is in the commercially-prepared Chicken Nuggets? I really don’t know it. Why don’t you make Chicken Nuggets by yourself? Try my recipe. It is absolutely easy and your children would love them! This is the basic nugget recipe. By adding some spices or extra ingredients, you can make a variety of delicious nuggets.


About 20 Nuggets


Chicken Mince 500g
Firm Tofu 400 to 500g
Salt 1 teaspoon
White Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Oil to shallow fry *1cm deep would be enough

Suggested Additional Ingredients

Grated Garlic, Grated Ginger, Curry Powder, Chilli, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cumin, Soy Sauce, etc.

  1. Break down and mash Tofu, add other ingredients and make it into paste texture.
  2. *Note: If you use ‘Momen’ tofu or soft type tofu, you must press-drain them very well to remove water as much as possible.
  3. Divide the mixture and make flat nuggets. Put some oil on your hands to work as the mixture is very sticky.
  4. Heat Oil to around 180C and fry the nuggets for 5 minutes or until nicely browned. Drain oil well on paper towel.
