People who have tried my ‘Miso & Mozzarella Baked Eggplant’ OR ‘Miso & Mozzarella Baked Tofu’ know that Miso and Mozzarella are a good match. If you like the combination, you certainly wish to try this Pizza. I just simply replaced Tomato sauce with Miso Sauce.


1 Pizza


1 Pizza Base *I used 28cm base
100g Mushrooms *thinly sliced
*Note: Today I used common Button Mushrooms and Shiitake Mushrooms
100g Mozzarella Cheese OR Pizza Mix *shredded or torn into small pieces
1/2 Spring Onion *finely chopped

Miso Sauce
1 & 1/3 tablespoons (20ml) Miso *dark colour Miso recommended
1 tablespoon Mirin
1 pinch Ground Chilli *optional

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Combine Miso and Mirin in a small bowl. Thinly spread the Miso sauce over the Pizza Base. Scatter thinly sliced Mushrooms over the Pizza Base evenly. Add Mozzarella (OR Pizza Mix).

  3. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until nicely browned. Sprinkle with finely chopped Spring Onion and enjoy.
