Steam-frying in a frying pan is the easiest and best method to cook Broccoli. Then, I tried to cook Green Beans in the same way. I have been loving this Green Been dish so much and lately, and I cook it very often. Today I seasoned with Salt & Black Pepper, but salty Anchovy is a great addition.

Ingredients

About 375g Green Beans
1 tablespoon Oil *I used Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
1 pinch Salt
3 to 4 tablespoons Water
*Note: Alter the amount of Water depending on the hardness of the Green Beans. If they are thicker and harder, you would need more Water to cook them longer.
Salt & Black Pepper
*Note: You can use other seasoning. Salty Anchovy Fillets, finely chopped, are quite nice.

Method
  1. Wash Green Beans, trim off ends as required, and cut into the size that is easy to eat.
  2. Drizzle Oil over a frying pan, place Green Beans, sprinkle with Garlic, Water and Salt. Cover with a lid and cook over medium high heat for a few minutes.

  3. When the Water is evaporated, remove the lid, stir and season with Salt & Black Pepper (OR seasoning of your choice).
