‘Pork & Kimchi’ is a great combination that can be used for Fried Rice, Stir-fried Udon, Rice Bowl, and many many more. You can simply cook Rice with ‘Pork & Kimchi’. If a jar of Kimchi is sitting in your fridge, try this dish. You don’t need to precook anything. Just place all ingredients in a rice cooker. While the rice is cooking, make a refreshing salad. Delicious and nutritious dinner is easy!

Ingredients
200 to 250g Pork thinly sliced and cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Mirin
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
White Pepper
2 cups (*180ml cup) Japanese Short Grain Rice
400ml Chicken Stock *OR 400ml Water & 1 teaspoon Asian Chicken Bouillon Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt *alter the amount depending on the saltiness of the Stock
1/2 cup Kimchi *cut into the size that is easy to eat
2 Spring Onions *finely chopped
Method
- Thinly slice Pork and cut into small pieces, add Soy Sauce, Mirin, Sesame Oil and White Pepper, massage, and set aside while you are preparing other ingredients.
- Wash Rice a few times, drain well, and place it in the rice cooker’s inner pot. Add Chicken Stock, sprinkle with Salt, and gently stir.
- Place Pork pieces with all liquid on top of the Rice, and place Kimchi over the Pork, but DO NOT stir. Just spread evenly. Press ‘COOK’ button to start cooking.
- When rice is cooked, let it steamed for 10 minutes. Add Spring Onion and mix gently.
