This is a very simply soup. Naturally you can add other Vegetables and Mushrooms. To add the spiciness, I used Gochujang (Korean Spicy Miso). I am not very good with Chilli, but 1 tablespoon, which seems a lot to me, was a good amount that created enjoyable spiciness.

Ingredients

1 to 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
1/2 Onion *thinly sliced
200g Pork *cut into bite-size pieces
2 cups Chicken Stock *OR 2 cups Water & 2 teaspoons Asian Chicken Bouillon Powder
1/2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Gochujang (Korean Spicy Miso) *You may wish to add more
2 Potatoes *cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 Spring Onion *finely chopped

Method
  1. Heat Sesame Oil in a saucepan over medium heat, cook Garlic, Onion and Pork for a few minutes.
  2. When Pork changed colour, add Chicken Stock and bring to the boil, and season with Soy Sauce and Gochujang (Korean Spicy Miso).
  3. Add Potato pieces, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until Potato is soft. Add extra Soy Sauce if required.
  4. Sprinkle with some finely chopped Spring Onion and enjoy with freshly cooked Rice. *Note: You can pour this soup over the Rice.
