My children didn’t like uncooked Spinach and Mushrooms when they were young, but they used to eat bowlful of them if with this Creamy Sesame Dressing. Why don’t you try it?

Baby Spinach as required
Mushrooms 5 to 6 *sliced
Garlic Chips *optional
Fried Shallot *optional

Creamy Sesame Dressing

Roasted Sesame Seeds 3 tablespoons *ground
Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
Japanese Mayonnaise 3 tablespoons
Ginger 1 small piece * grated
Garlic 1 clove *grated
Sugar 1 teaspoon *OR Mirin 1/2 to 1 tablespoon
Rice Vinegar 1 tablespoon

  1. Grind the Roasted Sesame Seeds and combine all ingredients to make dressing.
  2. Mix Baby Spinach, sliced Mushrooms and the dressing well, or pour the dressing over the Baby Spinach and Mushrooms.
  3. Sprinkle some crispy Garlic chips and fried shallot on top.
