Hi Hiroko, it’s me again! I had a ripe avocado in the fridge and decided to try this recipe. However, I still don’t have any green onion, and since it’s -20C outside, I had to skip it once again. I also skipped the chili oil since I can’t handle spicy stuff. Besides that, I had everything else on hand, and it turned out amazing!! I paired it with some teriyaki salmon fillets and genmai: https://imgur.com/a/hDv8Z4U It was an amazing combination. Thank you again for the recipe, I hope to try more soon!

Hi Stephanie. I can’t handle very spicy foods either. Chilli makes me sweat. But I like subtle spiciness and I use mild Chilli, and I love ‘Lao Gan Ma’ brand’s Crispy Chilli Oil. As it is so popular, Australian supermarkets started selling it. I must choose it carefully because ‘Lao Gan Ma’ products look all very similar. I’m glad you enjoyed this avocado dish. Teriyaki salmon look delicious.
