Currently I have a lot of Wonton Wrappers that my daughter gave me. I don’t want to waste them, so I have been trying to use them. The easiest way is adding them to soup, so I decided to add some Wrappers to Instant Ramen soup that was my lunch. I was very impressed with the result. It was delicious, filling, and comforting. This is how I cooked it.
Makes
1 Serving
Ingredients
80g thinly sliced Pork
1 Spring Onion
1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1/2 teaspoon grated Ginger *OR Garlic if you prefer
1/2 teaspoon Soy Sauce
Boiling Water *I added 500ml according to the package instruction
1 serving Instant ‘Soy Sauce’ Ramen *OR other flavour such as Miso
4 to 5 Wonton Wrappers *separated and cut in half
Ground Pepper, Ground Chilli, etc.
Method
- Prepare all ingredients before you start cooking. Cut thinly sliced Pork into bite-size pieces. Finely chop up some green parts of Spring Onion, then diagonally slice the rest. Prepare boiling water as well.
- Heat a saucepan over medium high heat, add a small amount of Sesame Oil, and cook Pork pieces until nicely browned. Add Ginger and Soy Sauce, and stir.
- Add Boiling Water, then add Ramen Noodles. When the Noodles are half-cooked, add Wonton Wrappers, one at a time, and add diagonally sliced Spring Onion.
- When everything is cooked, it won’t take long at all, add Soup and Seasonings that are included in the Instant Ramen package.
- Add the finely chopped Spring Onion, sprinkle with some Pepper OR Chilli, and enjoy immediately.
