This is an instant cake that I used to make when I was young. It has rubbery Mochi-like texture and tastes like cheesecake. Nothing could be easier than this cake. Today I made it for the first time in many years. I used what I always have in hand, and I microwaved it for 2 minutes. If you prefer steaming, it would take about 15 minutes.
Makes
1 Serving (1 Ramekin OR Mug)
Ingredients
5g Butter OR Oil
1 tablespoon Caster Sugar
1 small pinch Salt
4 tablespoons Unsweetened Yoghurt *plus extra if required
4 tablespoons Self-Raising Flour
Method
- Place Butter in a Ramekin OR Mug, microwave for 15 seconds or until it melts.
- Add Sugar, Salt and Yoghurt, mix well, then add Self-Raising Flour and mix well until smooth. *Note: Add extra Yoghurt (OR a small amount of Milk) if the batter is too firm. It can happen when you use Greek Yoghurt.
- Microwave for 2 minutes or until cooked. *Note: I used 1000W microwave.
