When you have left-over egg yolk, DO NOT waste them. Let them soak in this simple marinade. The Egg Yolk would get harden like paste and so nice with hot rice or pasta.
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Mirin *optional
- Let the Egg Yolk(s) soaked in the marinade of Soy Sauce and Mirin for a couple of days in the fridge.
- Place the marinated Egg Yolk on the freshly cooked hot rice. Sprinkle some Nori, chopped Spring Onion and Roasted Sesame Seeds. Drizzle some the soy sauce marinade over and enjoy.
- Replace the rice with freshly cooked pasta and enjoy. You would never ever waste the left over Egg Yolks any more.
Oh how lovely! These have a great texture. I learned that a little sake or even gochujang is also nice. Have had it with pain rice but also ontop of mince meat and rice
