If you have a microwave, you can make Matcha Jelly quickly and easily. When the jelly is set in a large drinking glass, break it with a spoon, and add cold Milk. Milk can be sweetened with Condensed Milk OR Syrup. This is a lovely treat on a hot summer day for Matcha lovers.

Makes

1 Serving

Ingredients

1 teaspoon (4g) Gelatine Powder
1 tablespoon Water
1 teaspoon Matcha Powder
1 tablespoon Caster Sugar *add more for sweeter flavour
200ml Water *OR reduce the amount for firmer jelly
Milk of your choice
Condensed Milk, Syrup, etc.

Method
  1. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon (4g) Gelatine Powder into 1 tablespoon Water in a small bowl and soak while you are making Matcha Tea.
  2. Mix Matcha Powder and Caster Sugar in a large drinking glass, gradually add Water, and stir until well dissolved. DO NOT add all Water at once. *Note: If you have a small whisk, it is a good tool to mix it.
  3. Melt Gelatine mixture in the microwave. It took 15 seconds using my 1000W microwave. You can do this process over hot water.
  4. Add the melted Gelatine to the Matcha Tea, make sure you add all of it, and mix well until completely blended. Place in the fridge and leave to set.
  5. When the Jelly is set, break it with a spoon, add cold Milk and sweetener such as Condensed Milk OR Syrup, and enjoy.
