As I have seen a bigger variety of & more creative dips at stores, I simply thought I could make my own dips by blending whatever I like. Here is another one. I sautéed Onion, Garlic and Mushrooms with my favourite herb ‘Thyme’, and blended into paste. All mushroom lovers should try this!!!

Ingredients

Onion 1 *sliced
Garlic 1 clove *chopped
Mushrooms 200g *sliced
Olive Oil 1 tablespoon & extra
Fresh Thyme Leaves 1 to 2 teaspoons *1/2 to 1 teaspoon if dry type
Salt 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon
Freshly Cracked Pepper
Sour Cream 2 tablespoons *OR Cream 1 tablespoon & Yoghurt 1 tablespoon

Method
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon Olive Oil in a frying pan, cook Onion and Garlic. If you caramelise the onion or cook it well until browned, you will get nice sweetness. Add Mushrooms and Thyme, and cook until mushrooms are tender. Season with Salt and Pepper.
  2. Transfer the mushroom mixture into a bowl, add Sour Cream, then blend into paste using a stick blender. This can be done by a food processor.
  3. Drizzle with extra Olive Oil and enjoy with crusty bread. I sprinkled some Thyme leaves for the photo.
