This is another quick and easy dish that I enjoy on a hot summer day. It takes only a few minutes to cook Angel Hair Pasta (Capellini). Prawns can be cooked with the Pasta. Other than that, you don’t need to cook anything. This is a COLD dish.
Makes
1 serving
Ingredients
1 serving Angel Hair Pasta (Capellini) *about 80g
80g shelled Prawns *thawed if frozen
Salt for cooking
Spring Onion, Parsley OR Coriander, etc.
Sauce
1/2 to 1 Ripe Tomato *cut into small pieces
1 small clove Garlic *grated
1 to 2 teaspoons Toban Djan (Chilli Bean Sauce), Gochujang, Sriracha OR Chilli Sauce
1 to 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce OR Fish Sauce
1 to 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil, Olive Oil OR Oil of your choice
Chilli for extra heat *optional
Method
- Combine all the Sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl. *Note: You may wish to add some Ground Chilli OR Chilli Flakes for extra heat.
- Cook Angel Hair Pasta (Capellini) in boiling salted water as instructed. When almost cooked, add Prawns. When Prawns are cooked, drain, rinse in cold water, and drain well.
- Add Angel Hair Pasta and Prawns to the Sauce, and mix to combine. Place in a deep plate or bowl, sprinkle with some finely chopped Spring Onion (OR other Herb), and enjoy.
