Sardines are healthier and more sustainable fish and rich in numerous nutrients. Sardine Fillets are easy to cook. Here is another super easy recipe. It is not only super easy but also super quick. Place these Teriyaki Sardines on the freshly cooked rice, it is an instant meal “Teriyaki Sardine Don’. Add chopped Spring Onion, Toasted Nori and Sesame seeds on top. Absolutely yummy!

Ingredients
Sardines 8 small fillets or 4 medium fillets
Plain Flour
Oil 1/2 tablespoon
Grated Ginger 1 teaspoon *optional
Sugar 1 tablespoon
Mirin 1 tablespoon
Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
Method
- Combine Sugar, Mirin and Soy Sauce (and grated Ginger) in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle some Plain Flour over Sardine fillets and lightly coat.
- Heat Oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and cook Sardine fillets both sides.
- Pour in the sauce and cook until the sauce thickened.
