Yakisoba is a very similar to Chinese stir fried noodles, but it is commonly seasoned with ‘Yakisoba Sauce’ which tastes like Worcestershire Sauce. Yakisoba Sauce is available from many Asian grocery stores, but you can make your own Yakisoba Sauce. Today I added Curry Powder, that goes well with Yakisoba Sauce.
1 serving Yakisoba Noodles *OR Thin Hokkien / Singapore Noodles
1 tablespoon Oil *I used Canola Oil
60g Thinly Sliced Pork
1 small clove Garlic *finely chopped
1 cupful Vegetables *cut into thin strips and slices
*Note: Today I used Onion, Carrot, Cabbage and Capsicum.
Salt & Pepper
1 teaspoon Curry Powder
2 tablespoons Yakisoba Sauce *OR make your own Yakisoba Sauce
1/2 tablespoon Sake (Rice Wine)
1/2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
- Prepare Pork and all Vegetables. Cut into strips and slices in the size that is easy to eat.
- Combine all the Yakisoba Sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Heat Oil in a large frying pan or wok, cook Pork, Garlic and Vegetables, and season with Salt & Pepper and Curry Powder. Add Yakisoba Noodles, and toss and mix well.
- Add the sauce, toss again and combine well.
