This is an absolutely simple stir-fry. Today I used Pork and Fried Tofu, but you can use Pork only, Fried Tofu only, OR Chicken if you prefer. The key element of this dish is the Sauce made with Gochujang (Korean Spicy Miso). This dish is delicious with freshly cooked Rice, but you can enjoy it with chilled beer.
Makes
4 Servings
Ingredients
300g Pork
Salt & White Pepper
300g Fried Tofu
2 tablespoons Potato Starch
1 tablespoon Oil
Toasted Sesame Seeds
Sauce
1 clove Garlic *grated
1 small piece Ginger *grated
2 tablespoons Gochujang
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Mirin
2 tablespoon Sake (Rice Wine) OR Water
2 teaspoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
Method
- Cut Pork and Fried Tofu into bite-size pieces. I cut them into about 3cm pieces. Lightly season Pork pieces with Salt & White Pepper.

- Sprinkle Potato Starch over Pork and Fried Tofu, and roughly coat them. You don’t need to coat them completely.
- Heat Oil in a frying pan, cook Pork until lightly browned, add Fried Tofu, and stir for a few minutes.
- Add the Sauce, and stir until the Sauce thickens and combined well. Sprinkle with some Toasted Sesame Seeds, and serve.
