I love Spaghetti cooked in Japanese flavours and this is one of my favourites. You can replace Beef with other protein, but I think Beef tastes the best in this dish. I use Washed & Ready-To-Use Baby Spinach as it is widely available in Australia. Naturally you can use other green leafy vegetables.

Ingredients

2 servings Spaghetti
200g Beef Steak *thinly sliced
1/2 Onion *thinly sliced
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
1 tablespoon Oil
Salt & Pepper
2 handfuls Baby Spinach
1 to 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 to 2 tablespoons Mirin
1 Spring Onion *finely chopped

Method
  1. Start cooking Spaghetti in boiling salted water according to the instruction.
  2. Heat Oil in a frying pan over medium high heat, cook thinly sliced Beef Steak, Onion and Garlic. When Beef and Onion are cooked, season lightly with Salt & Pepper.
  3. When Spaghetti is cooked, add Soy Sauce and Mirin to the frying pan, and stir to combine. Then add Baby Spinach and cooked Spaghetti with some liquid as well, and combine.
  4. Sprinkle with finely chopped Spring Onion and enjoy.
