Butter Cream is often used for decorating cakes and pastries. This is the most basic Butter Cream recipe. Remember that Butter Cream will harden as it cools. *Note: This cake is made by my daughter Sachi.
125g Butter *softened
1 pinch Salt *if you use Unsalted Butter
1 & 1/2 cups Icing Sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons Cream OR Milk *You don’t need to use it all.
- Beat softened Butter in a large bowl, add half of the Icing Sugar and beat until smooth.
- Add the remaining Icing Sugar and beat until smooth. Then you can add Cream OR Milk to achieve the creaminess that you want.
- *Note: You can add a few drops Food Colouring. You can add flavours such as Vanilla Extract, Cocoa Powder, Matcha Powder, melted White/Dark Chocolate, Citrus Zest & Juice, etc. Use Cream OR Milk to loosen.
