The sauce made with Garlic, Butter and Soy Sauce is great for Vegetables, Meat, Fish, Seafood, Pasta, Rice OR anything. Today I cooked Asparagus and Squid. I tried to use Oyster Sauce instead of Soy Sauce, and it was also delicious, though Oyster Sauce makes the flavour sweet. This is a very simple stir-fry dish. Absolutely super easy to cook. Enjoy with Rice, Pasta, Noodles, Bread, OR cold Bear.

Makes

2 to 3 Servings

Ingredients

1 bunch Asparagus *Today it weighed 120g
1 Squid Tube *about 150g
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
1 tablespoon (15g) Butter
1 pinch Salt
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce OR Oyster Sauce *OR 1/2 tablespoon of each
Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Method
  1. Trim Asparagus, cut into 3-4cm in length. Clean Squid Tube, pat dry with paper towel, and cut into bite-size pieces. Today I made shallow cuts on one side before cut into bite-size pieces.
  2. Heat Butter in a frying pan over medium heat, cook Asparagus and Garlic for 1-2 minutes, then add Squid pieces. Stir until Squid changes colour, add 1 pinch Salt. *Note: If Asparagus are not thick, you can cook all at the same time.
  3. Add Soy Sauce (OR Oyster Sauce), and stir until the sauce thickens. Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with freshly ground Black Pepper, and enjoy immediately.
