This is a Brussel Sprouts version of ‘Pan-fried Broccoli & Cheese’ that I frequently cook for dinner. The other day I cooked ‘Pan-fried Garlic Butter Brussels Sprouts’, but I decided to add Cheese, because Brussels Sprouts are not popular among male members of my family. They ate these Brussel Sprouts. All of them.
Makes
4 Servings
Ingredients
12 Brussels Sprouts *trimmed and cut in half
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
2 pinches Salt
4 tablespoons Water
3/4 to 1 cup (about 80g) coarsely grated Cheese *I used shredded Cheese Mix (Cheddar, Mozzarella and Parmesan)
Black Pepper
Method
- Drizzle Olive Oil over a non-stick frying pan, arrange Brussels Sprouts with cut side down, and scatter Garlic. Sprinkle with Salt and Water, cover with a lid and steam-cook for a few minutes.

- When the Water in the pan is evaporated, remove the lid, scatter grated Cheese evenly, cover with the lid again, and cook until the Cheese is melted.
