‘An Pan’ is a Japanese bread roll filled with Sweet Azuki Paste. I believe it is one of Japanese soul foods. I often crave it, but it is not easy to find ‘An Pan’ where I live, and it takes a few hours to make it. This super easy Toastie is a great substitute. This kind of soul food substitute can be a life saver to some people who live different countries. If you don’t want to bother toasting it, just sandwich Butter and Sweet Azuki Paste with White Bread. How many times have I made this Toastie (OR the simple Sandwich) since I moved to Australia? Very many times.
