My favourite frosting to coat a Chocolate Cake is Sour Cream Cocoa Frosting. It can be made with Butter, Sour Cream, Sugar and Cocoa Powder. However, I don’t have Sour Cream always. This Chocolate Buttercream Frosting is easy to make using 4 ingredients that I always have.
Enough to cover a 20cm Cake
100g Butter *melted
1 cup Icing Sugar *about 120g
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
2 tablespoons Cream OR Milk *alter the amount to achieve the desired texture
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl, then whisk well until smooth. *Note: Alter the amount of Cream (OR Milk) to achieve desired thickness.
