Coffee & Milk jelly dessert with two jellies set in two layers is popular. Today I wanted to make the same dessert in a different way. This dessert looks like Coffee Jelly floating in Milk, but Milk part is also Jelly. You can make this dessert in the other way, having Milk Jelly floating in Coffee Jelly. It is fun to make something different.

Makes

2 Servings

Ingredients

Coffee Jelly
1 teaspoon Gelatine Powder
1 tablespoon Water
200ml Coffee
2 tablespoons Sugar

Milk Jelly
1 teaspoon Gelatine Powder
1 tablespoon Water
200ml Milk
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 tablespoon Condensed Milk *optional, if you don’t add it, increase the amount of Sugar

Method
  1. To make Coffee Jelly, sprinkle Gelatine Powder into Water in a small bowl and soak for 5-10 minutes. Make 200ml Coffee, add Sugar and mix well. While the Coffee is still hot, add soaked Gelatine and mix well until Gelatine dissolves completely.
  2. Place the Coffee Jelly mixture into a container and cool. Then place in the fridge and leave to set.
  3. To make Milk Jelly, sprinkle Gelatine Powder into Water in a small bowl and soak for 5-10 minutes. Heat Milk, Sugar and Condensed Milk in a saucepan, and remove from the heat when it started simmering. Add soaked Gelatine, and mix well until Gelatine dissolves completely, then cool.
  4. *Note: You can do this process in the microwave. Place Milk, Sugar and Condensed Milk in a heat-proof measuring jug or bowl, heat in the microwave, and bring to the simmer. Then add soaked Gelatine and stir.
  5. When Milk Jelly is cool (slightly warm is NOT good) and Coffee Jelly is set, you can assemble. Coarsely break the Coffee Jelly, place some Milk Jelly into the serving glasses, add some Coffee Jelly pieces, and repeat to arrange the Jellies in your artistic way. Leave the glasses in the fridge until set.
  6. *Note: You can make Milk Jelly first and set it in a container. Then arrange two Jellies in the other way.
