I have been craving sour food lately. Today I wanted to eat pasta for lunch, then I thought about a pasta dish that is sour. Then I cooked this Lemon Pasta. There are many recipes for different versions. I decided to use Butter and Garlic. I nearly added Soy Sauce to it, but I didn’t. I would try it next time. I already know this dish could taste good with it.


1 Serving


1 serving Long Pasta *Linguine, Spaghetti, Fettuccine, etc.
Salt for cooking Pasta
20g Butter *OR Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped OR minced
Zest of 1/2 Lemon *grated
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
2 to 3 tablespoons Cream *OR Salted Water that has been cooking Pasta
Salt & Black Pepper
Parmesan Cheese
Herb of your choice *e.g. Thyme, Parsley, Mint, etc.

  1. Cook long Pasta in boiling salted Water according to the instruction. Today I used Linguine.
  2. When Pasta is almost cooked, heat Butter and Garlic in a frying pan over medium heat. When Butter is melted and Garlic is aromatic, add Lemon Zest and Juice, and remove from heat.
  3. Add Pasta and Cream (OR Salted Water that has been cooking Pasta), and mix to combine.
  4. Season with Salt and Black Pepper, add some grated Parmesan and Herb of your choice. Today I added Thyme.
