When you want to cook a side dish of Broccoli, steam-frying with a little bit of Water in a frying pan is truely the quickest and easiest method. I often cook with Olive Oil, Garlic and Chilli. Today I used Sesame Oil and seasoned with Oyster Sauce. Use a large head of Broccoli, but it might be not enough for 4 people as it is so delicious.

Makes

4 Servings

Ingredients

1 large head Broccoli *cut into small florets, thick stem sliced
1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
2 to 3 tablespoons Water
1 punch Salt
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
Chilli Flakes as required *optional
2 to 3 teaspoons Oyster Sauce

Method
  1. Drizzle Sesame Oil over a frying pan and arrange Broccoli pieces. Add Water, sprinkle with Salt, Garlic and Chilli Flakes.
  2. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for a few minutes. When the Water in the pan is evaporated, remove the lid, and keep cooking until slightly browned. Add Oyster Sauce and stir to combine.
