I have a nice salad dressing ‘Buttermilk Dressing’ recipe that I created when I tried to copy the dressing which comes in the Coles’ Kaleslaw Salad Kit. It is delicious, but there is a problem. I don’t stock Buttermilk for always. But I always have Greek Yoghurt. This is a Yoghurt version of my mock Coles dressing and it tastes similar to Ranch Dressing.

Makes

About 180ml *6 to 8 Servings

Ingredients

4 tablespoons Unsweetened Greek Yoghurt
2 tablespoons Milk
4 tablespoons Japanese Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon White Wine Vinegar OR Lemon Juice *add extra if you like
1 small clove Garlic *grated, OR 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
A few thin slices Onion *finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon Dried Dill *OR 1 teaspoon finely chopped Fresh Dill
1/4 teaspoon Dried Parsley *OR 1 teaspoon finely chopped Fresh Parsley
1/4 teaspoon Salt *alter the amount to suit your taste
Ground Pepper as required
1/4 teaspoon Sugar

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients well. Alter the amount of Salt, Pepper and Sugar to suit your taste.
  2. *Note: The photo below is ‘Cos Lettuce, Broccoli & Potato Salad’ with this dressing.
