Butter & Soy Sauce is a great flavour for Corn and it is my favourite. Today I added Toban Djan (Chilli Bean Sauce) to the Butter & Soy Sauce. If you don’t have it, you can add Chilli Flakes OR other Chilli base sauce. Corn’s sweetness goes so well in this flavour.

2 to 3 Corn Cobs *cut into 1/4 or 1/3
2 tablespoons (30g) Butter
1/2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 tablespoon Toban Djan (Chilli Bean Sauce)
Extra Chilli Flakes *optional

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil. Add corn and cook 5 minutes, then drain. *Note: Steaming is another good method.
  2. In a large heat-proof bowl, melt Butter in the microwave. Add Soy Sauce, Toban Djan (Chilli Bean Sauce) and Extra Chilli (*optional), and mix well.
  3. Add drained Corn and mix to combine.
