My ‘Goma-ae Sauce’ goes so well with many vegetables. I have tried even with Cucumbers, which was quite nice. This time, I was more ambitious. I made Tomatoes into ‘Goma-ae’ and my family was suspicious about this dish. I used Black Sesame Seeds to make the colour striking, and that was discouraging for them but they tried it anyway.

Tomatoes 3 to 4

‘Goma-ae’ Sauce

Toasted Sesame Seeds 2 tablespoons *ground, black or white
Sugar 1 & 1/2 tablespoons *usually 1 tablespoon, but extra sweetness suits Tomatoes
Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons

  1. Grind Toasted Sesame Seeds, add Sugar and Soy Sauce and mix well to make sauce.
  2. Cut Tomatoes into chunky pieces and mix with sauce. Serve immediately.
