This is a variation of my ‘Cauliflower Curry Mayo Cheese Bake’. Instead of Curry spices, I added 1 small can of Tuna. For this dish, I recommend to pre-cook Cauliflower slightly, so that texture of Cauliflower is nicer with the mixture of Tuna and Mayonnaise. How to cook? Its’ your choice. I steamed it today. You can microwave it, or blanch in salted water.

Makes

4 Servings

Ingredients

1 head Cauliflower *cut into small florets
1/4 cup Japanese Mayonnaise
1 can (95g) Tuna *I used Tuna in Springwater
Salt & Black Pepper
1/2 cup shredded Tasty Cheese *OR Cheese Mix for baking
Parsley OR Spring Onion

Method
  1. Preheat oven to 200℃.
  2. Cut Cauliflower into florets and cook it firmly. You can steam, microwave or blanch in salted water. I think steaming is the best method.
  3. Combine Japanese Mayonnaise and drained Tuna in a mixing bowl. Season with Salt & Black Pepper.
  4. Add firmly cooked Cauliflower florets to the Tuna mixture and gently mix to combine. Place in a baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with some extra Salt and Black Pepper, and cover with shredded Cheese. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until nicely browned. Sprinkle with some finely chopped Parsley (OR Spring Onion) and serve.
