This is a super quick & easy dish I cook often for lunch. Broccoli is the main ingredient and you can add as much as you want. Butter & Soy Sauce is a lovely combination and it is very popular in Japan, but Olive Oil & Soy Sauce is also good.

Makes

1 Serving

Ingredients

1 serving Spaghetti
5 to 6 florets Broccoli *cut into smaller pieces
Salt for cooking
1 tablespoon (15g) Butter OR Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic *finely chopped
Fresh Chilli OR Dry Chilli Flakes as required
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce

Method
  1. Cook Spaghetti in boiling salted Water. When half-cooked, add Broccoli, and cook until both Spaghetti and Broccoli are cooked.
  2. When Spaghetti and Broccoli are nearly cooked, heat Butter (OR Olive Oil), Garlic and Chilli in a frying pan over medium low heat. When aromatic and Garlic is slightly browned, add Soy Sauce and 2 to 3 tablespoons of salted water that is cooking Spaghetti.
  3. Drain Spaghetti and Broccoli, add to the frying pan, and toss and mix to combine.
