This is one of the soups that I was cooking for my husband when he was eating a low-calorie soup every day for health reasons. I use no starchy vegetables, but you may wish to add Potato, which is surprisingly low in calories. I recommend to add a few drops Sesame Oil for flavour and health benefits, but I don’t use Oil to cook ingredients. This soup is healthy, and so comforting, filling, nutritious and delicious.

2 Servings

2 cups (500ml) Chicken Stock *OR Stock of your choice
1/2 teaspoon grated Ginger
1 small clove Garlic *grated
1 teaspoon Curry Powder
1/2 Onion
1-2 leaves Cabbage
Broccoli & Cauliflower *You only need a small amount
A few drops Sesame Oil
1 to 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
White Pepper
150g White Fish *Today I used Whiting, cut into chunky pieces

  1. Cut all vegetables into small bite-size pieces.
  2. Place Chicken Stock in a large saucepan, add Ginger, Garlic, Curry Powder, Onion and Cabbage, bring to the boil over medium heat, and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add Broccoli and Cauliflower pieces. When Broccoli pieces are half-cooked, add Sesame Oil, and season with Soy Sauce and White Pepper.
