My super-quick & easy ‘Fresh Tomato Salsa’ can be mixed with cooked seafood and you can make such a delightful seafood platter instantly. Today I used frozen uncooked Prawns. It’s so simple and easy.


2 to 3 Servings


250g Prawns
2 large Fresh Tomatoes
1 small clove Garlic *finely chopped
1/4 Red Onion
1/2 to 1 Red Chilli OR Jalapeño
2 to 3 tablespoons chopped Coriander Leaves
1 tablespoon Lime Juice *OR Lemon Juice
Salt & Black Pepper

  1. If you use frozen prawns, thaw completely. Cook them in the boiling salted water until just cooked enough, cool in cold water and drain.
  2. Remove seeds (watery parts) from Tomatoes and finely dice. Chop up Garlic, Onion and Chilli finely. *Note: Make sure you taste the fresh chilli before adding it!
  3. Place all ingredients in the bowl, season with Salt & Black Pepper. If you need more heat, you can add Tabasco. Pickled Jalapeño is also good.
