Do you want to eat something sweet, warm and comforting? Try this super easy pudding that can be made instantly. Much nicer than Rice Pudding, which I do not wish to eat. To be able to make this yummy pudding, I always stock a bag of Semolina in my pantry.


2 Servings


300ml Milk
1/4 cup Semolina *OR coarsely ground wheat
1 tablespoon Caster Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
2 tablespoons Sultanas
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract *optional
Thickened Cream
Your Favourite Topping *e.g. Cinnamon Sugar, ‘Milo’, Flaked Almonds, Jam, Fruit, etc.

  1. Combine Milk, Semolina, Caster Sugar and Egg Yolk in a saucepan. Bring to the simmer over medium heat, stirring often.
  2. Reduce heat to low, add Sultanas and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  3. Pour some Cream over and enjoy with your favourite topping. I love Cinnamon Sugar.
